Educational Field Trips to the Creek

All educational field trips address the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Environment and Ecology and for Science and Technology, which are currently being tested by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Grant information for field trips is available through the Pennsylvania Environmental Education Grants Program.

Bring your lessons to life, and bring life to your lessons! Field trips to the center offer outdoor learning in a variety of areas ranging from guided tours to programs on insects and aquatics.

Students interact with one another and the natural world, exploring forested trails surrounding our environmental center or interacting with our live animals in the center. You will explore, observe, and learn to respect the flora and fauna of Pennsylvania.

Note: Unguided groups of twelve or more require advanced scheduling and a nominal fee.

The fall 2011 school program season still has many openings. Email Joan at jet8@outreach.psu.edu today to schedule a school visit to the Creek!
